This blog has been set up by Pamela Robson, great grand daughter of W.R. Gray, who was a photographer back in St. John, Kansas, in the early 1900's.

William took his first photo in 1876, he married Mary Katherine Tipton in 1898.

It is my hope that other descendents of William will use and contribute to this blog, because of the great influence his life as a photographer has had on many of us.

I myself, the granddaughter of Ina Gray, his second born child, use some of the photos taken by William (but more so the photos taken by Ina) to create art, combining antique photos and contemporary digital art in collage, most of which is then printed on fabric and quilted.
